Where history meets the future of leadership

In moments of profound change, leadership asks more of us than authority or expertise. It asks for courage, discernment, and the ability to think beyond inherited systems.

The Hue Leadership Retreat in Boston invites leaders into a three-day immersive experience designed to deepen critical thinking, expand perspective, and strengthen the capacity to lead meaningful change. Set in one of the most historically significant and intellectually vibrant regions in the world, this retreat draws inspiration from Boston’s legacy of revolution, inquiry, and innovation—while engaging the realities of leadership today and the possibilities of what comes next.

The Setting

The retreat is held at MIT Endicott House, a historic executive education center surrounded by gardens and open grounds just outside Boston—an environment intentionally designed for reflection, dialogue, and deep learning.

The Experience

Over three days, participants will engage in facilitated dialogue, reflective practices, and collaborative inquiry that explore:

  • How history, power, and systems shape the way we lead

  • What it truly takes to innovate in the face of uncertainty and resistance

  • How to move beyond fear-based decision-making toward courageous action

  • What collaborative, inclusive leadership looks like in practice—not theory

The retreat is intentionally small and invitation-based, creating space for deep conversation, trust-building, and meaningful connection among peers.

Who This Retreat Is For

This experience is designed for thoughtful, mission-driven leaders who are navigating complexity and change, including those working in:

  • Nonprofit and civic leadership

  • Education, research, and healthcare

  • Public-sector and community-based initiatives

  • Social impact and mission-driven organizations

You may hold a formal leadership role—or you may be leading through influence, vision, and responsibility within your organization or community. What matters most is your willingness to reflect, question assumptions, and engage in transformative dialogue.

You Will Gain

Participants leave the Boston retreat with:

  • Greater clarity around their leadership role within evolving systems

  • Tools for navigating uncertainty, power dynamics, and complexity

  • Strengthened critical thinking and courageous decision-making

  • Practical frameworks for collaboration and innovation

  • Renewed confidence to lead change aligned with purpose and values

  • A personalized action plan to apply insights within your organization or community

Why Boston

Boston offers a rare convergence of history and future-thinking—a place where revolutionary ideas once reshaped society and where innovation continues to influence the world.

The retreat environment is intentionally chosen to support both reflection and forward momentum, inviting participants to draw lessons from the past while actively imagining and building what leadership must become.

An Intentional Community

This retreat is limited to a small group to ensure depth, connection, and meaningful engagement. Participation is by invitation or application, allowing us to curate a cohort that can learn with and from one another.

What You’ll Learn

In this three-day retreat, you will deepen your understanding of your leadership, the complexities of team dynamics, and how to lead through them with clarity, courage, and intention.
